Andrew Hewitt D.C. has been practising chiropractic since graduating in 1989 — over three decades of dedicated, patient-first care across two convenient clinic locations.
Andrew (Andy) Hewitt D.C. qualified from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 1989 and has since worked in a wide range of clinics across the UK — from the north of Scotland to the south coast. Over more than three decades he has treated patients of all ages, from newborns and expectant mothers to competitive athletes and those in their senior years.
Andy is delighted to be joining the teams at Spiro and Hereford, having recently relocated to Ludlow from deepest Sussex with his wife Kirsty, their youngest son William, and their two spaniels, Nellie and Pickle. The move was a conscious one — a desire for a slower, more peaceful pace of life in the Shropshire countryside, closer to nature and to a community he has quickly come to love.
"Andy's aim is to help each individual to move better, whilst learning how to improve their health."
Andy is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for every patient he works with. His approach is simple: understand the person, not just the problem. Chiropractic is best described as a whole-body mechanical treatment — and every session is carefully adapted to the individual in front of him.
His passion for health extends far beyond the spine. A lifelong student of human physiology, Andy spends much of his spare time reading widely across medicine, biology, and the emerging science of mind-gut balance — the profound relationship between our digestive system and mental wellbeing. He is not simply a chiropractor, but a man who has spent decades studying how the many systems of the human body work together, and who brings that breadth of understanding into every consultation.
When he is not in the clinic, you will most likely find Andy out on a long walk with Nellie and Pickle, reading about medicine, or settled in for a Formula One race on a Sunday afternoon with his family.
Andrew graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 1989 and has practised across the UK ever since. Now based in the Welsh Marches, he works from two clinics — in Ludlow and Hereford — bringing expert chiropractic care to patients across Shropshire and Herefordshire. A member of the British Chiropractic Association and registered with the General Chiropractic Council, Andrew is known for his honest, patient-centred approach and his commitment to getting results. His interest in health goes far beyond the spine: he is deeply fascinated by the full spectrum of human physiology — from neurology and nutrition to the science of the mind-gut axis — and continues to read widely across medicine and biology. That curiosity makes him not just a skilled chiropractor, but a practitioner who sees and treats the whole person.
